Modern Interior Design

Modern interior design is currently a hot style in the design world. People want simple, cool, and clean home designs. The design world is constantly evolving in trends from the heavy Tuscan look with rich colors to modern style with light and bright colors. As the styles change, interior designers must evolve with the industry. A good designer can capture a clients vision and put it to life. Susan Spath, one of San Diego’s best interior designers, is always trying to get to know the clients lifestyle and style to create something spectacular for them.

Susan Spath recently completed her design showcase home. The California modern style home with a twist of European style is the ultimate dream home. Modern home design is a bit more casual than the traditional style. Every detail in the home is amazing from the LED lighting fixtures to the marble slabs it does not disappoint. The kitchen is a chef’s dream with a custom Officine Gullo range imported from Italy, a marble shelf above the stove top, a marble hood, a large island, custom woodland cabinetry, custom counter table with a marble slab, all led lighting, and much much more. The materials used in the kitchen are the vocal point of the room, Susan decided to keep the room clean with minimal accessories as the room alone does all the speaking. The modern kitchen is absolutely stunning. See for yourself.

The living room has the most amazing modern fireplace design with a bookmatch slab and a mirrored backplate. The bookshelves are custom from woodland, all lined with LED strips to show of the books and accessories. The chandelier is brass with LED spikes that light up creating a reflection on the bookmatch slab fireplace. To create an open space, Susan incorporated large floor to ceiling windows throughout the entire house. The furniture in this room is the best of the best. The coffee table is a custom made goatskin table imported from Columbia. Everywhere you look there is something that will catch your eye, it flows all so cohesively.

Walk in to the master bath to see a custom Ombre tile design for the shower, with a his and her entry. The shower is the main focal point of this room. The floor a clean simple herringbone marble and clean marble walls. The bathtub overlooks the luscious backyard. Each side has a his and her waster closet and walk-in closet. Inside each water closet you will find LED mirrors, cabinetry, and a personal sink for the ultimate luxury experience.
